Friend always criticizing...?

have a friend just like her.she is alway talking about herself and it bugs me!i think that you should do what i am doing right now (and its working btw) to just ignore her!i think that its important that you have your dignaty also! and shes just not letting you have it!and since ive been ignoring her shes been asking me if anythings new, or whats up with.shes sounding like she CARES!just ignore her! it works! she'll wonder y and then she'll care!ok???good luck!

say something like:"hey (whatever her name is), I meant this woman (or man) the other day and all they did is talk about themself and didn't even listen to what I had to say."and then be like "it was really sad, but it made me happy that i have such a good friend who listens and understands me like you do."this is sort of an example of reverse phycology.if she's really a true friend, then she'll take note of what you just said and think to her self "uh oh, i hope i don't talk about myself too much...."and it just might work.I hope this helps.This way you don't have to flat out tell her, but signal her in a way that she'll think twice before criticizing you or not listening, etc.It worked with me and my friends, and I hope it does for you too!!

I was in the same situation just months ago...my friend suddenly became all superior and she doesn't only criticize me; she calls me names and stuff...since I couldn't help but fight back, I decided to avoid her for quite some time...i think that actually worked because she probably didn't want to lose me as her friend, so she started hanging out with me again without the bickering and the name calling..now we are as close as ever!!!Basically, my point is, put more space between you two for a while...try hanging out with other friends...if she remains the same, then i guess she's not worth it...Hope it all works out for you....

Hi,I don't think your friend is selfish... She is concerned about you. She don't want to you to take any wrong decision. Don't stop telling her about your life. Just listen what she says. Afterall its up to you to take her advise or not.
