Friend always criticizing...?

I have this friend who always criticizes me and put the focus on herself as if she was the greatest person ever. For example I told her I have applied to study abroad, her reply was that it's a bad idea because it's too expensive and this and that. As if it was not enough to break my moral she "adds, for me the best example is ..." and she starts talking about her own thing totally forgetting the main point. She does that all the time, I know she doesn't mean bad but it pisses me off because I feel like she doesn't consider my feelings and selfishly criticizes.Telling her is not an option, what can I do in this case? Should I stop telling her about what happens in my life or should I totally stop being her friend?

i think that u should talk 2 her about it and then if she doesnt cahnge then i think that u shouldnt b friends with her. just see if she changes and if she doesnt then 4get her and find a friend who actually cares about u and how u feel.

When she critisizes you it's just because she is insecure about herself and even if you let it go and act like you don't care it brings you down, even if you don't know it! So, you should tell her how you feel and if she gets mad then I guess she's not a good friend!! hope i helped

Ya I understand, but I think you need to find someone else to tell about stuff that happens in your life, you don't have to stop being her friend cuz of that, maybe she can't help it, she might've been raised that way.

Forget her, she obviously doesn't care about you! I had a friend just like this, she was always right about everything and i couldn't say anything so i just said yeah whatever your always right, and then she'd say. Look you're just saying whatever coz you can't back yourself up, and that pissed me off so bad. She got everyone to turn against me and got people at school to trip me up in the corridor and they even sent me a picture message. It ticked me off so bad she even got guys to come to my house and harass me but yeah, this friend is def. fake. she's prob just using you because she has nowone else. Please get rid of her, she's trouble and fair annoying! x

Tell her nothing of your intentions thus avoiding criticism. Personally I would tell her to shut up if she had nothing positive to say !
