| Why do I need years of education, an 8 hour test, and an internship to
work on buildings, but...? to work on people's minds, I don't need anything.
If someone comes to me and says, "My building needs work," I can be fined for doing architectural work without a license.
But if someone comes to "ex-gay ministries" and says, "I don't want to be gay anymore," they can work on the human mind, which is far more complex than any building, without any license whatsoever?
In either case, lives are at risk, right?
For that matter, you need to be a medical doctor to work on someone's toe, but you don't need anything to work on their brains.
Curious, isn't it?
James, that's true, but at least in the state I live, you don't need any of those credentials to set up a "therapy" practice.
If you want to make money at it, you send in $40 to the state, and viola -- you're set.
