She gets mad when I ask her to get tested for STds?

So I just started dating this girl, and I told her, tonight, that we shouldn't really do anything until she and I both get tested for STDs. I'm going this Friday to get tested because I have reason to (I have done stuff in the past before, and I always like to be safe), and she said she'd go in a month when she turns 18. I was fine with that..but I told her we wouldn't be doing anything until she gets tested...then she complains that she has no reason to do so....that really ticked me off....she won't budge, and gets really upset about it, saying she has no reason. I need to look out for myself...I'm still 17...I dont wanna mess myself up, ya know? So, any ideas on what to do here?
