How do you bring up testing for STDs to your date?

Say you're with someone you like, and seems that they are interested in you as well. Things could potentially get very heated very quickly between you two. You expect you'll wind up in a hot makeout session sooner rather than later... But, your past experience shows that most people will not be honest about their sexual health up front. So how do you bring up getting tested for STDs, when mutual attraction has not even been verbalized yet?

Wait til mutual attraction HAS been verbalized [[as this should happen before sex anyway]]. The place to bring up STD's is not when things are hot and heavy... do it in a private, but casual setting, like driving in the car for example. Then there is no other way to bring it up other than, "How do you feel about STD testing?" If he is a serious, mature, and worthy man he will not be offended by this question - rather he will seem glad you asked. Then agree that you BOTH get tested before going all the way. It's not as bad as it seems - the hardest part is bringing it up.
