STDs transmitted through making out? I went out with a guy over the weekend, and we swapped a lot of spit. And now I'm getting weird rashes. I don't know what else the rashes would be from. The guy is a virgin, but I think his ex-girlfriend is a bit of a slut and they obviously kissed. So my question is, can they be transmitted through making out, what can be transmitted, and how long before you show signs of it?

Yes you can. You can get almost any kind of ATD in the back of you throat and then spread my kissing. It is rare but it can and does happen. Doesn't matter if you are a virgin or not. You can get Ghono or herpes you don't keep to be kissing on someone unless you know ABSOLUTELY everything about their sexual/kissing history. If someone has Ghono in their throat and proform oral on you then you can get in in you Va ja ja. And you can still be a virgin. You need to prtect yourself. How old are you 12? Finish school go to college and learn this stuff before you go kissing on boys.

Hmm..it is quite rare to get an STD through making out unless both parties have open sores in their mouths. That being said, it is possible that you got an STD...but I really, really doubt it. You should go to a doctor or Planned Parenthood if you are worried about it (always a good idea to be safe), but you are probably fine. P.S. Most common transmitted would probably be herpes...
