Feeling Itchy is a symptom of STDs?

I never experienced this kind of itchy, it is not very itchy, but around my vagina area. It happens few days ago the time I started having period. I thought it was because the tempon or napkin made me felt uncomfortable. However, it lasts for a longer time than I predicted so I started worrying. I have that new boyfriend and we started having sex 2 months before. Never happened so far until this time. I got no chance to visit the doctor right away, could only wait a week later. I have not yet asked the guy as I m not 100% sure if it is STD or if it is because of him. Anyway, is itchy a high chance a symptom of STD? or is it possible of other reasons? Like I wear tight jean, thongs too much? or maybe the chance I got it from towel at the gym? Help!

it's probaby just thrush, to be honest.
If you had other syptoms with the itching, I'd suggest otherwise. Prehaps herpes, but yeah, if it's just itching, you probaly have thrush. No problem. See your doctor.

Yeast infection. Get some Monistat at the drug store and follow the directions. If that doesn't clear it up, the go to the doctor.

Sometimes you get a little itchy around the time of the month, but one of the most common causes of itchyness down there is a yeast infection. You don't necessarily get it as an STD; most of the times it's just from the, well dampness, from having your period. (You can also get it from wearing a damp bathing suit too long.) A yeast infection will sometimes go away on it's own, but if it gets REALLY itchy (you'll know when that happens), get yourself some Monistat. That'll clear it up. If you start to hurt as well as itch, and you get some strange discharge, see a doctor.

It could be any number of things, but it can't hurt to get a herpes test.

there's like, a hundred reasons that girls get itchy down there. you better see a doctor just to be safe, and use protection so you wont run into this problem.

you cant get std's from a towel at the gym.
