| Genital Warts and STDS Won't Always Disqualify You From Army or Other
Military Service? I was diagnosed with anal warts by my physician. When I went to MEPS to take my physical to get into the Army I was completely honest on the questionaire about my condition. The military doctor pulled me into his room, asked me a few questions, examined me for a minute and then cleared me for military service. I did not require a waiver, though this doesn't necessarily mean another person wouldn't. For me at least, I had a really bad case of anal warts and I was not disqualified. I am now a happily enlisted member of the United States Army.
This is such a relief. There is alot of bogus information out there on the internet regarding this - alot of people who don't have a clue of what they're talking about telling people it's permanently disqualifying and what not. This simply IS NOT TRUE.
Does anyone else have a similar experience with STD's and the military? Did you receieve alot of bogus information (your recruiter telling you to life for instance)?
