| Anxiety or STDs? Over 4 months ago an ex partner and I met up for a weekend and engaged in both oral and penetrative intercourse. we used male condoms for intercourse but not for oral. I had asked him about his partners from the time in between us not having been together before we got together and he said he'd practiced safe sex, but that weekend he admitted to some risky activity. Now i am really nervous about having caught something from him, especially because of the unprotected oral sex. I also have been diagnosed with anxiety so although I don't have any symptoms I have been freaking out. I've made an appointment with a GYN but until then I don't know what to do. I've been searching the web for risk factors and symptoms or STDs but they only calm me temporarily until i start thinking about it again. I am really feeling anxious and desperate. |

| Pretty much the only thing you can get from oral sex that cant' be cured is HSV1, or cold sores. If your ex did not have an open sore on his mouth or genitals then you are OK! I have anxiety too and I know that it can pretty much make you feel like you are 100% sure you have contracted HIV or something, but believe me this is not the case. If you used a condom they are very effective, even more so than the public would like you to believe. When you are having anxiety and you know it's anxiety, try to pinpoint the symptoms so that in the future when you start feeling that way you can reassure yourself that it is just your anxiety.......that is what's helped me the most......I really don't think you have anything, but here's a website that may help.. |
