Do dr's normal check for STDs when you become pregnant or do have to request those tests to be done??

My friend just found out she is pregnant. She is so happy but she is also scared because she thinks the father of the baby had Chlamydia. Will the dr's check for all of this when they do the prenatal testing or will she have to request for the test to be done.
