Are there STDs you can get without sexual interaction? If so, what ones?

I'm writing a paper for a college class and am a novice at this stuff. I've heard you can get STDs without having sex, is this true?
Thanks for all of your answers so far. It sounds like to me most STDs are generally transmitted through sexual interaction. I've been looking up herpes, and it appears that type one can be passed through kissing when one has a sore at the time. Oral herpes can also develope into type one genital herpes from my understanding.

YES, you can have you heard of oral sex.. sex is sex... if someone has genital warts and you perform oral sex on them then what do you think happends?/??? it gets in and around you mouth.

some people need to get educated before answering questions like this.

You can get herpes by touching another herpes pimpleon someone else or even siting in a infected bethroom.
