Would a condom be enough protection?

I do not know if this man has an STD but he is somewhat of an player....He most likely DOES NOT but is a condom RELIABLE?

PEOPLE calm. i didnt ask if i should be having sex with a player. Why do women always have to feel used. i want some easy no strings attached sex and as far as i am concerned there nothing wrong with that. Well if you feel that strongly about knowing why don't you BOTH get tested together?

In the case of condoms... they are 99.9% aaffective against STD's as well as pregnancy, however there is always the .01% that is left.

Your best bet is get tested. If he is not willing then he was something to hide and there for is not right for you!

condoms can also break.

If you're going to be intimate with someone, I would simply come out and ask him if he has an STD. If he gets insulted or hems and haws about it, then I'd look for another partner. If he really cares about you, he will be up front with it. As for condoms, they are reasonably safe, but they do break and sometimes slip off. I'd be extremely careful if you suspect HIV or herpes, both of which are highly contagious and incurable, and HIV can lead to fatal ramifications.

Yes. Condoms are from 90-95% reliable for preventing pregnancy and 99% for STI's.
The Pill should also be taken though., it is 100% reliable for prevention of pregnancy.!
