How do you discuss STDs with a spouse?

Here's the situation: Me and my spouse do not use condoms. We are not trying to have a baby but if it happens, it would not be the end of the world. I have a suspicion that he has an STD and he could not have gotten it from me because I have not had sex with anyone else but him. The problem is- I don't know for sure if he has one. I'm afraid to stop having sex with him because then we will have to discuss why. I don't want to accuse him and I do plan on getting tested but in the meantime (before I know for sure) what should I do?

get a test yourself! it'll prove whether he's cheating or not.

Depends on what you've seen or heard that leads you to believe that he has an STD...
Seen sores? heard rumors? WHAT?
(and you intend to forgive him and keep him)
you need to openly ask him - and be careful of your wording as to not be accusing.

If you see a sore....ask:
"Any idea what that is? I've heard people can have herpes for YEARS and not know....do you think that's it?"
You're NOT accusing him of cheating...and hopefully you know him well enough to know if he's lying...

If you heard a rumor that he screwed around & caught something...... aaaahhhh.... stop listening to rumors! or do research until you have some proof....

I would just get tested and if it comes back positive, then you know for sure and you can point blank say that you know he has been sleeping around! Plus if he is your fiance, you should be able to talk about anything!

how long before you get tested..you need to go immediately. I would just ask him about it. Don't do it in a way that seems like you are accusing him..just ask if he has ever been tested. What is it that makes you think he may have 1?
