How often are STDs passed onto other?

If I had unprotected sex with someone who has an STD, what are the chances of me getting his STD? Is it 100%? I assume that it is extremely high. Is there a chance that he WON'T pass it on to me? I want to know these facts for my own sake, but I can't find this information anywhere.

I am not sexually active with anyone. I just want to know the facts. Thanks.

yes ,if you have unprotected sex with someone that has an std you will most likely catch it.

The chances are very high. 100% to be exact. If the disease is active he or she will spread it to the next partner. You most like will have to check with your doctor. STD's become very serious if they go unchecked. They go into the blood stream as well and could complicate other body parts if not taken care of immediatly. Always use protection. Thats your best bet.
