How much should I be taking out of my paychecks for taxes?

So I work full time and have a part time job on the side that does not take taxes out of my checks but does give me a 1099 to file at the end of the year. This is my first year working for the company and wanted to know what % I should be setting aside. I make 550 a month there untaxed.

Probably the simplest thing to do is to get a paycheck stub from your full-time job and divide the tax withholding amount on that check by the gross pay to determine what % is getting withheld on that check. Then use the same percentage for your other check. It may not be perfect because there is an outside possibility that a large part of the second check will actually be pushed into a higher tax bracket, but it should be close.
