| will my grandmother need to file taxes to get the stimulus check? she lives on widows benifits and doesn't file normally. i claim head of household and claim her as an elderly dependent. i already filed. should she file or will she get it as my dependant and if she does file will it mess me up?      |

| She only needs to file a tax return. If you claim her as a dependent, she just needs to NOT claim the exemption for herself on her tax return...which shouldn't be a problem because she doesn't have any taxable benefits anyway. If she files a return, she'll likely get a $300 stimulus payment. |
