This is our tax dollars at work?!!!?

The IRS is spending 42 million bucks (of OUR money) on mass mailings to tell everyone that their rebate checks are 'almost' in the mail....is it just me, or does this NOT make sense to anyone else?

You are definetly right. maybe they had some extra people hanging around with nothing to do. Of course the fact that it`s money derived from the sweat & blood of working taxpayers they could care less.

Not that I'll turn down the money, but these checks aren't gonna be nearly enough to help the economy. If they were ten times larger than the amount we will supposedly be receiving - well, then, yes, they would likely then have an impact. Most of the money more than likely will either be saved by the average American or go to pay down debts that they've incurred. On the other hand, this is more than you'll ever see out of a Democratic administration should we have one come November...
