| GST Tax Number in Alberta?
I am currently purchasing a quarter section of land, and apparently I have to pay 5% gst on the land. I was told that if you make over $10 000.00 off of the land you can get a tax # and this gst payment would be waived. I already have someone interested in renting the land for hayland, so I was wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to get him to sign some sort of written contract so my gst would not have to be paid. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you very much.
