| Listing my wife first on taxes to get tax incentive check quicker.?
I want to list my wife first on taxes to get rebate quicker. Tax Acct says I can't, and it'll slow things down. I think she just doesn't want to re-do the paperwork. She says: "The IRS doesn't like you to switch the order in which you file. I was talking to one of my co-workers and they said that can actually slow down the process of your return. You will need to approve the return again and then when I receive your documents I will efile the return for you." Any truth to this? For what I'm paying I don't see what's so hard about swapping our names on the paper. |
