Do Jehovah's Witnesses ever go against what the watchtower teaches?

Do Jehovah's Witnesses ever go against what the watchtower teaches?

The organization teaches against talking to those who have been disfellowshipped but we see it all the time on this forum. Is this an exception?
It also teaches against internet chatting and visiting websites that are against them but they do.
Are they not as strict as we would assume they are?
