I want to teach my four yr old son from home but im not sure where to start ?

I want to teach my four yr old son from home but im not sure where to start ? I know I am capable of doing it now but worry I wont be capable when he is older. As i was just an average kid at school with average grades.
Do I need to let the education board know i will teach him and where do i find resources? Im not sure where to start!
I would love to hear from other mum who teach from home.
Also would love to speak to another mum in southampton area ?
