keep using his name, dont confuse him by saying any nicknames.. consistancy is the key.. dont constantly change his name.

Repetition, call it by name frequently while playing with it or at feeding time.

Make sure that is ALL you call him when you're directing your attention to him. They'll catch on faster than you think. Of course there can be "Come _____" or "Stay ______" but make sure that the name is inserted as often as possible. I had the unfortunate realization that these puppies are quick...my dog started coming after only a few days of calling him "stinky" as a joke. =)

You have to CONSTANTLY say it to them. When he does something good, say "Good boy ____". And when he's coming to you say his name...Say it when you're petting him and when you play together. He'll learn it soo enough. Mine is still learning hers, but I say it often to remind her
