Substitute teaching, what kind of drug test is required to work as a sub teacher?

The reason I am asking is that I took a zanax the other day to help me sleep and am concerned that it will show up in a drug test. I have heard that hair tests can reveal this?

Some school districts ask you to take a UA, others don't. it just depends on the district.

First, let me ask you. Is the Xanax yours? By that I mean do you have a prescription for it? If it is, and ou can prove it with the bottle, then you really shouldn't have much to worry about. If it isn't, you could. Many drugs in the same class usually stay in your system for up to about a week, if I am not mistaken. Hair tests are reliable. Not only for Xanax but others as well, mostly marijuana.

As for wanting to be a sub, let me ask you, isn't it a little late in the school year to apply to be a sub? Most schools, at least in/around my school district will be ending the school year in the next couple of months.
