Why doesn't the Christian God follow his own teaching?

He says,"Love your neighbor as yourself."
But wait....isn't this the God who will throw someone into the fiery pits of Hell for all eternity to be tortured mentally and physically.

How is that loving your neighbor as yourself?

Also, why does your God preach tolerance when he isn't tolerant of other people or beliefs?
