when did Canadian schools stop teaching Creationism over evolution?

have we always taught evolution, or did we have a canadian equivalent of the Scopes "monkey" Trials?
(I posted a question earlier asking when we stopped teaching evolution over creationism, thats my bad, sorry- we teach evolution here, like in the US")
