Do you ever have trouble reconciling your faith or belief versus what you were

taught? For instance, if one were brought up to believe in Christianity but converted to Islam, or someone who was once Catholic and is now Wiccan, just for some good examples. Have any of you who have not so much"changed" beliefs or religion but rather found your way into a new belief or spirituality that wasn't what you were brought up with, had or still have difficulty reconciling your "old" beliefs with your "new" beliefs?

(I really hate using that terminology "old" and "new", more like "evolving spiritual enlightenment or study").

Have you had or have trouble?

I also was raised baptist, and even though I'm on to new and more comforting things, it was just this last year that I realized in the back of my mind I was still trying to justify some form of creationism (not what I was taught, but similar theories) and that I didn't rationally feel it was true, but anti-evolution rhetoric had been so ingrained in me that I couldn't wrap my mind around evolution being real. then one day, I had this husge freak out and was like, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD, PREACHER MAN!!!"
But now i have to go out and learn basic biology that my parents wouldn't let me participate in learning back in school.

I've questioned some of things I was taught about my beliefs because as I grew older, I realized that it was another person's interpretation. I needed to look at this on my own and decide for myself instead of someone else doing it for me.

As a young Christian child, Going to school and being taught 2+2=4, and We evolved from monkeys - Was ruff! Back then it was taught as fact. Now, it can't be proved so its a THEORY!
But to get to the point, it gave Me droughts. until You really get Your own research involved, You will just believe what "THEY" tell You!

Not really...I was raised Southern Baptist, and questioned it from day one. I guess the beliefs never really set it, so they were easy to discard.
