What age students, and what are you trying to get them to learn? You would teach a three year old a lot differently than a 16 year old, but the most important things to do are to make it age appropriate, and interesting. No one learns anything when they are bored!

I have taught kids from K3 up through 4th grade. I've found that activities that let students figure out the information on their own through exploration and hands on activities work the best. When students internalize the information it stays there forever!
