| Does anyone think that Mormons were racist by on the precepts which the... ...founders taught? JOSEPH FIELDING SMITH, a later President of the Mormon Church says in his book; "The Way to Perfection" page 102: "...(Cain) became the father of an inferior race. A curse was placed upon him and that curse has been continued through his lineage and must do while time endures. Millions of souls have come into the world cursed with a black skin and have been denied the privilege of priesthood and the fulness of the blessing of the gospel." Mormon racist doctrine could not be plainer than that! BRIGHAM YOUNG, the second Mormon prophet, said in his "Journal of Discourses", vol. 7, page 290: "...Some classes of the human family are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind." He also said in volume 10, page 110: "If a white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty under the law of God is death on the spot. This will always be so." There can be no doubt whatsoever that Mormon doctrine is racist. It is a foundation of the whole Mormon gospel. I can tell you that many Mormons whom I knew would find themselves most uncomfortable with it. They, as I did, would find it hard to defend. I have never been a racist. My black brother is in no way inferior to me and this is one of the reasons I left the Mormon Church. Show me examples from the bible please about which you speak, and may God bless you First of all its not a rant and why do you react negatively toward me when all I am doing is asking a question............ |
