how to teach that damm cat some respect :l?

my husbands cat is disrespectful he has been treated like royalty since we got him (by my husband) we've had him for a year now he's desexed an supposedly house trained ive found evidence to prove different :l the problem is he's always been fed right from the dinner plates (my husband) he jumps up when were eating dinner an doesnt get in trouble he scratches the furniture (we have scratching posts for him) he refuses to eat his cat food (good quality not cheap) so he gets fed our food he constantly sleeps an marks my pillow as his he hisses at me he's just a damm right disrespectful animal how can i cfhange this when ever i try to disciplene him i get in trouble because supposedly im this big mean animal 50 times his size???
