| Faith-alone Christians: What was Jesus' teaching about salvation in the Parable of the Sheep and Goats? See Matthew 25:31-46 for the complete text of the parable. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2025:31-46 Here is an excerpt: "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' |

| That is not The Salvation Message... but it tells of how the "righteous" shall be seperated from those who did not come to God as He prescribes.... those who have received God's free, and eternal, gift of Salvation strive to live a "righteous" life... that is how we of The Church are to be... as best we can as weak mortals... no one will be able to fully live up to the absolute letter of Christs instruction... this "parable' does not justify the teaching that Salvation mey be lost once God has given it... it only describes the way those of The Church are seperated from those of the world... here is the basics of The Salvation Message All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free, and eternal, gift of Salvation. Those become part of The body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven If you have a question concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith feel free to email me. |
