GCSEs HELP?

OK I'm taking my GCSEs and I've been set to take the schience foundation paper but I'm being taught higher paper topics and they said they won't move us up to the higher paper. Anyway I was wondering since I'm takin the foundation paper is there still anyway at all to get a B grade? I need one to get into the IB diplomia course at tollbar.

GCSEs HELP?

Sorry, but Foundation Level papers can only give you grades C to G in most cases. Higher Level papers can get you A*-D.Have you asked why you have been taught at Higher Tier, only to be allowed to sit the Foundation Tier? I suspect it is all to do with targets. If students are put in for Higher Tier and do not achieve a D, then it is classed as a fail. However, if students take Foundation Tier, most of them should get at least a G (for what it's worth) and it will be classed as a pass.I'm afraid that the whole education system in this country is flawed and it is the students who suffer in the end. It would be too late now to alter the level at which you are sitting the exam. My only thought would be that you could re-take the exam at the Higher Tier in the winter (usually November or January) and aim for a B or higher. Perhaps if you explained to the staff at the place where you want to work for your IB exactly what has happened, they may take you provided you re-sit the GCSE Science.Hope all works out well for you

No sorry, there is no way of getting a grade B on foundation. But why don't you ask your teachers if you are allowed to mix the levels of the exam papers? For example, lets take french.a person is not good at the speaking and listening, so he/she takes foundationbut he/she is strong at writing and reading so he/she takes higherThat way there is more of a chance that you could get higher markHope this helps!
