| Where can I find money to re-pay a private education loan?
I have recently completed a teacher licensure program at Ashland University in Ohio. Because I already had my bachelors degree and was enrolled in a non-degree granting program, I was cut off from federal financial aid. I had completed all of my core courses and had to take out an $8000 private student loan to cover the costs of student teaching (in Ohio students aren't paid to student teach).I carried a 4.0gpa throughout the licensure program, but did not qualify for any scholarships I found. I would like to payoff this private loan in a year due to the high interest rate and before my federal loans go into repayment. Does anyone know of a loan repayment scholarship or grant programs that help students payback loans (federal or private)? Has anyone heard of any organizations that help students payoff loan debt?

If you are unable to afford to make payments toward your defaulted loan, you should complete and return a "Statement of Financial Status" along with evidence of your current financial situation, which evidences your inability to pay (i.e. paycheck stub, copies of billing statements) to the servicing agency or the collection agency servicing your account. Based on the information provided, a payment plan which is both acceptable to the agency, and affordable to you, will be established. http://loan--house.blogspot.com/search/label/Student%20Loans%20Default
