Getting into Teaching?

I am currently a Cover Supervisor at a school and both myself and the school are looking at possible routes into teaching. The School have made it clear they have the funding for me and would very much like me to teach at the School.

Are there any ways i can do my training at the school without applying for GTP which could send me to any school?

If I were you, I wouldn't do my teaching prac at the school as it would be of far more benefit for you to experience other schools and see other ways of doing things before committing to one school. But if the funding is only IF you stay at the school, contact the college directly and ask whether you would be able to do so. I had to do my teaching prac in two different places buy you might manage to do one of the two in your current school.

The school/principal can request that you do your internship with them. That is what my principal did.
