I have depression, should I still substitute teach?

I sub K-12. I have most of the typical depression symptoms and have had it on and off for fifteen years and it has crept back up on me again a few months ago. I have taken meds before and may need to see DR again, afraid it may be bad this time.
which is best, I ask this question a few times, I am getting an idea. an MD or PSY ?
I mean which to see first MD or PSY
