When you pray, do you say whatever is on your mind? Or do you just say what you were taught to?

At night, or whenever (i pray whenever i feel its needed) do you start out with the whole "dear heavenly father" or "now i lay me down to sleep" stuff like when you were little?
Or do you just start talking to God like he's you're buddy?
I personally say either "heavenly father" or "dear lord----"...
I pray to God as a best friend, and father. How do you talk to him? or Pray? Everyone has different approaches... Some are very formal, some not so formal...All Atheist remarks and crap will be ignored so you might as well not try any of that , k?
Nothing will change my faith/views/beliefs.

its cool to know im not the only one who just vents and lets loose...God is so close to us. he knows what we're going through, the words that won't come out right, but he still knows how to answer the prayers you can't exactly put into words. He's amazing.

I was just outside talking to him in my driveway, just walking around in circles on how to become what he wants me to be. What he has planned for me. Anything. Everything. Just make me his puppet. He does so much for us all. It's so touching and sweet, to hear all your opinions and advice.
