| Teach For America?
Is this a good program to go into after graduating from college? I have no intention on continuing education as a career, but in addition to helping children, I think it would be nice to do this program in order to help pay for my loans before going to law school. Does it actually help in this way? Also, if you are a TFA grad, what was your experience like? Would you recommend it? Thanks to anyone who responds! |

I just had my finacial aid pulled for next year (I guess I make too much) I have considered Teach for America as well. I have spoke to people who have taken this road for their college education. Based on what I have heard I will be taking out college loans to reserve the right to choose where and for long I stay at a school of my choosing. If you elect this option you have to teach at one of the schools that has been designated. You also have a designated time ( four full years in eight years) you have to teach at one of these schools and if not completed you are billed for all the loans plus all interest. The schools are those of the worst, whether or not this is for you only you know. I suggest reading the fine print.
