christians, have u asked your pastors for teaching Hebrew??

i have posted this question before and that's , "christians, why don't u learn Hebrew? it is the ORIGINAL language of the Bible."

there are many people who found this question interesting...and i further asked, "shall we recommend the pastors about this??"

So Christians, have u recommended your pastors to teach u all Hebrew - the ORIGINAL language of the Bible?

The Bible was a compilation of languages, Hebrew was only the primary one. Greek and Aramaic are also integral languages within it.

Hebrew is a language of great interest to me, and I will learn it someday soon, without prompting. Thanks for asking.

I would think that most Pastors are not experts in Hebrew, and would therefore not have the ability to teach a congregation Hebrew to a level that would be useful for understanding the scriptures as they were originally written.

There are plenty of resources for understanding the original manuscripts if that is desired.

I'm a credentialed language teacher, and learning to that level takes many years and significant perserverance (not to mention aptitude) - our Pastors are not trained primarily in language acquisition, but in theology, counseling, etc. (even business and marketing in some cases).

I think that is definately a good point. But then we couldn't distort the bible's meaning to say whatever we wanted... and THAT would be a shame.

And actually I don't believe in the bible.
