The Rikstir II has a spectacular aura about
Who teaches the teachers .......?

seriously I drink with to teachers ( well one now ) and it's like being a bloody parent sometimes . Do you believe the old adage . Those that can do , Those that can't teach !
Part of the point I'm trying to make is that these are two people in their thirties with degrees ect and I oftain teach them about their own subjects and certainly the real world . I left school at sixteen with out anything I can barely spell . These are the people sosiety chooses to impart knowlage onto the youth !

I understand what you are saying...being a teacher I have to agree that the public and even some teachers use teaching as a fall back because they failed at something, "Get your degree, you can always teach". Sound familiar? These are the same teachers that have problems in the classroom. Real teachers are born, not made. You have to have a talent for it that too few have. The student teaching phase of Teacher Education should be put in the first weeks of class, that would weed out anyone who couldn't cut it. Remember most teachers have never held a civilian job. They are institutionalized, with vacation time, summers off and medical benefits. Some don't realize how tough it is out there for everyone and they seem a little ungrateful or at least ignorant.

Another teacher, who was taught by another teacher, who was taught, by another teacher, who was taught by....you get the idea. I think that the adage is true for school teachers, but the college ones do it for a bit of extra cash, mostly

The teachers (people who know something about certain things about our wide world) are taught by teachers who have been taught by teachers, who........ from the beginning of time!

It´s like in any profession, some are and some are not fit for the jobs they do.
