I AM Kitty! has a spectacular aura about
If we shouldn't teach children the Theory of Evolution in schools because it is a

"theory" and not a law? Should we also remove material on gravity from the schools too? Also should we remove most of the science materials because they are mostly theories?

What will be left to teach?
KK: What lies are in the text books? On a furthernote, I have seen outright lies in the some creationist arguements.

As for your question about individuals and populations. An individual will not evolve by means of evolution. My genetics make up isn't going to change - as a whole. A population genetic norm will change over a period of time. This is why a population can evolve and not an individual.
Honest: Interesting point. However, your premise is incorrect. Evolution is an observed fact. It's been scientifically tested too. The theory is an explanation of these facts. Gravity is also considered a theory and fact.
KK: Thanks for the added information.
KK: Yah, I agree students should have the most updated, current, "non-hoaxed" drived information. This is not only a problem in biology but in all school systems. Students still have "current affairs" books with maps of USSR!
