and this command is not only for particiular churches at that time but for the whole cjurch of all time;
4:17 For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.(1 Cor 4:17). Besides woman holding positions of authority in the Church was never and is still not practiced in the Church, not until the reformation did this satan inspired practice raise it ugly head, so why do you think people are so decieved, that they chose to total ignore a scripturaly and historicaly clear doctrine and practice?

Heaven bound has it right. And besides, the word that was SUPPOSED to be used is that women are not to "usurp" authority.

It's obvious that Paul has no problem with women teaching, if you'd read Romans 16.

You should also read Galatians 3:28.
