We are. But were taught that we are so much better than everyone esle. Therefore what is taught is usually minimal.

in my school, we learn about languages, which comes with learning about culture. and in my junior year i believe we learn about world geography. why ask such a question when it is only untrue?

They are, but it definitely has a Western emphasis. World history usually begins with the Egyptians, Greeks, Alexander the Great and on into the Romans. When I was in HS (more than 10 yrs ago) I even took a European History course. Granted there is little to offer in terms of Asian (do not read as Russian) or African history. It is mainly Europe and the Americas and I think my high school education on these matters was pretty good.

Actually we are taught about the history of England, France, some of Italy (especially during the Renaissance) and some of Germany (especially during the Reformation). Oh, and ancient Greece and Rome. What countries were you thinking of?
