how does a football coach learn how to teach the different techinques for his...

...side of the ball? i do a lot of studying football since the third grade, both offenses and defenses, and sp.teams. i would like to coach offense someday at a highschool to start a coaching career(never got the chance to play though and i admire charlie weis who never played football). i understand schems but im eager to learn how to Teach them to players. in high school, i had the wonderful opportunity to situp in the press box and wear headsets my job was to break down the offensive tendencies during the game and relay them to the defensive coordinator(he played for defensive coordinator joe lee dunn).

just curious.... has a spectacular aura about
I suggest finding a local community team to start out/learn on and try to watch the techniques of the position coaches as much as you can. Critically pay attn to how the coaches communicate with the players. Also, most offensive coordinators start out as position coaches, so you could critically focus on something like TE, WR, or RB then go from there. I know it sounds silly, but if your focus is on teaching technique another suggestion is to buy Bill Parcell's back yard drills. It may seem elementary, but where else are you going to learn all those techniques without paying a ton of money to learn it at an actual football camp? This is the most important part. Anyone can learn the schemes, it's the ability to master technique that really matters. Anyway, try to find a local ball club and ask if you can help out. A pee-wee team is a good place to start too, because you can get some credentials to advance to a more complex coaching position. You will learn best through hands on.

Good luck.
