i want to become a teaching assistant?

i haven't got the best gcse's but im really interested in becoming a teaching assitant but i don't know where to start
i have a young daughter so i can't do unpaid work

Depending on the school district in which you live you could become a teaching assistant fairly easily.... in the public schools. There are some special needs students who have to have an assistant with them at all times.... and there aren't very many people who want to take on that kind of student. You could also start as a volunteer assistant in virtually any public school as they are always in need of help. You would probably have to pay to have a background (criminal) check done but that's pretty normal for any position that deals with minors. Best wishes.... Education is an incredible career choice.
