| Does anyone know of any musical or fun methods of teaching grammar...?
...to first year college students. I teach a developmental (remedial) composition class. My students are about eighteen years old and largely cynical about school, learning, etc. They have come a long way with their composition skills, but their use of grammar and punctuation is not improving. I want to make this fun for them, but my students are pretty rough. (A few of them have serious behavior problems.) They would completely reject anything that was "goofy" or "nerdy." I don't blame them. Education should be meaningful (real). Suggestions? |
