help with nintendogs teaching tricks and feeding!?

hi i try to teach my dog to sit but when he does no light bulb shows up!how do you feed your dog to? please help me with my questions!

you can feed him by going to suplies and then go to care and if you have buy a can of food there s suposly be a can or a bag touchit and it supose the dog is eating
