Kellen N has a spectacular aura about
What path should I pursue if I want to teach in a college teacher education program?

I am a History/Government Secondary Ed. major, but am finding myself more interested in classroom management, teaching methods, writing curriculum, and educational philosophy. I have about 2 years left of undergraduate work and my current plan is to attend Idaho State University and receive an M.Ed. in Secondary Education.

However, with my ultimate goal now being to teach curriculum, methods, ed. philosophy, and classroom management at the college/university level, should my graduate plans change? Is there a better path to pursue? Is a Ph.D. or D.Ed. in education required to instruct teacher education majors at the college level or is experience a better qualification? Both?

What plans should I make for my future in order to teach future teachers how to teach?

Thank You,
Kellen Nebelski
