Should school teach sex ed?

I have to do a persuasive essay and i chose the topic "should schools teach sex ed to their students?"

I want your opinion, and reasons to back it up, also if you know websites that i could use as a source to put on my "work cited", than that would be so fantabulous.

I need an A to pass english this year, so i really need your guy's help on this.

My mom actually disagrees, and here's why:
She says the topic will only spark the kids curiosity, and have them want to find out more by themselves.
