Private versus school taught music lessons?

I have to do a papper on this subject and I have a couple of points but I just cant seem to think of enough to fill out my whole papper. I take both private and school lessons for my saxophone and thought that this would be a good topic, but now that my topic is set in stone its kinda hard to write about it.

If you take both, then you have the ideas, you just need to wrack your brain!

Which do you like better? Why?
Which helps you improve the most? Why do you think that is?
How do you feel about learning in a group setting vs. privately? Do you feel freer in private lessons because no one else will hear you mess up or more stressed because you know you're being scrutinized?

Just talk about the pros and cons of each - group vs. private, costs, individual attention, etc. Hope that gets your brain going!

First, decide the point of your paper. Are you trying to decide which is a better option for a musician? Which gives you a better education in terms of instruction? Where you have learned the most? What gives you more chances to apply your knowledge?

Narrowing down your topic will be much easier--private vs. public instruction is very broad.
