Teaching in England?

If I was educated as a high-school science teacher in America, what sort of difficulties would I experience teaching science in an English 'high-school'? Would there be a test I had to take before I was licensed to teach? I'm not very familiar with the English education system, but how could I utilize my American education in teaching high-school science in a classroom in England?
