Christian mothers, my children are 5 and 8, what books do you recommend to...

...teach them about Jesus? sometimes i'm with my kids and i want to talk about apologia but they're too young for that

I got a book called Sunday Specials with nice craft and stories

any other recommendations?

thank you

I have read the Koran and Shariah and can recommend them as excellent books for brain washing young minds.

My Book of Bible Stories

Learn From the Great Teacher

The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived

All published by Jehovah's Witnesses, you can get all copies for free. Great pictures, simple language and very interesting.

The second one is great for parent-child interaction, with questions and places to pause for the child to express their own understanding

Personally I prefer to have them read or listen to the Bible so they don't get any mixed teachings like from Bible stories
we use the Children's Bible and teach creation and Noah's Ark and Moses etc:

Little Golden Books are a good source for Christian stories. There should be many available right now as we're approaching Easter. My favorite one is "My Little Golden Book About God."

Find some children's books at a Christan book store with cartoon drawings of lessons and scriptures from the Bible.

Check on eBay if you have an account.

I'd say they are old enough to have their own Bibles and take turns reading some verses. If your 5 year old cannot read yet, this special time will encourage him or her to want to learn.

Also, Classic Bible Stories by Lisa Caldwell and Parables for Kids, by James Dobson.
